My home isWebitat. It's a 42' FBMY (fly bridge motor yacht), a trawler type which means that it is slow but economical and with ample living space.

The boat name, Webitat, was chosen long before I started working on the Internet. It was a combination of my last name and the word habitat.

During the winter months the boat has been securely tied up, weather-proofed and kept toasty warm, and I have spent a number of years living on-board through some pretty cold and snowy winters. Recently however I have been spending the winter months in my condo in Florida and the Webitat has been safely stored on land. During the late Spring, Summer and Fall I enjoy cruising on Long Island Sound from Manhattan to Cape Cod. Living on the boat also keeps me quite busy with upkeep and maintenence and I spend a lot of time relaxing on the bridge looking over the beautiful vista of Manhasset Bay.

I also race an antique wooden sailboat on the summer weekends.

I have retired from teaching mathematics and computer programming and now spend my time pursuing my hobbies of cooking (and of course eating), sailing, reading and also spend some time designing and maintaining web sites.
